All About Me:
Two months after my mother and I booked the trip we’d been planning for ages, she was diagnosed with ALS. At her request, and like many daughters in midlife, I helped care for her for the 11 months she had left. It was a painful, joyous, precious time, during which she and I talked so often about her life, her death, and my future. After the funeral, after deep grief, travel (including taking that trip!), and contemplation, I determined to once again reinvent myself and to put all that had come before into this new incarnation – to live and work with an awareness of celebration.
I’ve been a copywriter, account executive, hospitality professional, mother, columnist, tech entrepreneur, student, lawyer
